Co-founding Charity Electric with the support of a parent organization, I was able to grow our agency, creating new markets, product offerings and ways of partnering with our clients to maximize our impact.
Charity Electric was an outlet for me to provide marketing best practices to an underserved and well deserved sector - essentially an Ad Agency for non-profits, with fundraising strategy central to the design.
As Co-Founder, my role included devising the central brand, refining the business model and growing business through client acquisition and market expansion.
CE continues to specialize in non-profit fundraising and communications as part of the Benifactor Capital mosaic, and serves a client list spanning local to international organizations, in fields ranging from education, healthcare, human rights, childcare and community supports.

I managed the central Visual Identity and Brand of the University of Toronto throughout the downtown campus - Strategic Communications office. Supporting central faculty communications departments, I oversaw the providing of authorized visual identity components and responded to campus wide brand inquiries.
Additionally, my role included producing new applications for the styleguide, including an adaptation to better represent the brand online, in video and in social media platforms. I was also tasked with producing internal and external communications to support the work of the central administration at the University, with a notable area being annual Convocation ceremonies.
Following my position at StratComm, I provided design and communication support for the department of Student Life - including all of their associated departments and faculties, which totaled over a dozen during my time in the role. I was responsible for meeting all the internal design needs of these various groups, while developing new brand identities for emerging areas and standardizing external materials, notably Student Orientation promotion and guidebooks.

Developed new standardized Student Life Orientation materials and guidebooks
I was responsible for the formatting and proper pre-press of all advertisement and art. Working closely with the Creative Director and Art Director I was responsible to produce a wide variety of adverts and content based on their initial creative designs - translating style boards to comprehensive ad campaigns spanning packaging, print advertisement, installation and signage, as well as POS for the Proctor & Gamble family of brands among others.

Leading the in-house creative department at Yellow House Events, I handled and oversaw the production of all design and brand materials required. Components included: poster art, handout vehicles such as die-cut postcards etc. as well as digital mediums like html e-blasts and websites. Notable clients include handling a large portion of RIM product launch and promotional events. BlackBerry advertisement throughout the United States & Canada. Work with other large telecom companies such as AT&T, Telus, Mobilicity and Rogers.
Managed the creative process from development to print production for events which took place at campuses such as Cornell, MIT, Texas A&M, Texas U etc. Corporate locations include American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, AMEX, J.C. Penny and Texas Instruments.
Recent projects include working on the creative for the BlackBerry Playbook launch in April and 3 multi-city BlackBerry tours seeing over 10,000 attendees in total.

Junior Production Designer
Worked alongside the senior art director at Ontario Place. Tasked with advertisement layout, photography, illustration, signage layout, logo creation, web design and exhibit prep work. Also proofread and QA’d outgoing projects. Worked under strict deadlines, individually and as a team to consistently produce timely and beautiful results.
Created the waste receptacle design used throughout the park for a decade, increasing efficiency rates.
